Finding Focus Before the Holidays: My Stay at the Hampton Inn Atlanta/Fayetteville

December 06, 2025

Welcome to the Peach State sign in lobby of Hampton Inn Atlanta Fayetteville

The days leading up to Thanksgiving are usually a blur of family, last-minute grocery runs, and “oh no, did we remember the cranberry sauce?” vibes. But this year, before I could lean into full holiday mode, I had another responsibility: leading a three-day remote system training for work.

As much as I love being home for the holidays, my house is not exactly the quietest place when everyone is around. I needed to be on—professional, focused, and free from the soundtrack of everyday life (doorbells, barking dogs, random background noise, you name it). So instead of presenting from a busy home, I decided to do something different: I checked into the Hampton Inn Atlanta/Fayetteville for three days before Thanksgiving.

Spoiler: it was exactly what I needed.

Why I Chose the Hampton Inn Atlanta/Fayetteville

Location. Location. Location

The Hampton Inn Atlanta/Fayetteville is conveniently located south of Atlanta in Fayetteville, Georgia. It’s:

  • About 17 miles from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport
  • Under five miles from Pinewood Studios (hello, movie magic neighbors!)
  • Close to lots of nearby restaurants and shops
  • Equipped with complimentary self-parking, which made coming and going super easy—no ticket machines, no daily parking charge, no drama.
  • Out of the chaos, but still very connected

For anyone flying in, doing business near the airport, or working on productions at Pinewood, this hotel is in a sweet spot: close enough to everything, but not in the middle of the chaos.

For me, it was perfect because it is less than 15 minutes away from my parent’s house.

Check-In: Smooth, Friendly, and Stress-Free

I did online check-in ahead of time, so the arrival experience was quick and easy (which is exactly what I want after juggling travel, work, and holiday logistics). I was greeted by a friendly woman at the front desk who quickly handed me:

  • My room key
  • A welcome water
  • Snacks (always a win in my book)

It was exactly the kind of quick, efficient check-in you want after a long day of travel, errands, or—if you’re like me—mentally prepping for training sessions.

This Hampton Inn has three floors, and my room was on the second floor—convenient enough to use the stairs but quiet enough to feel removed from lobby traffic.

My Room: Clean, Comfortable, and Work-Friendly

I stayed in a standard room with two queen beds, and for a productive (and cozy) work retreat, it checked all the important boxes:

  • The room was clean and comfortable
  • I had plenty of space to spread out my laptop, notes, training materials, and water (and snacks, obviously)
  • There was a refrigerator and microwave in the room

That fridge-and-microwave combo is elite when you’re staying multiple days and trying to stay productive. I could keep drinks cold, heat up leftovers, and avoid having to order food (read Uber Eats) every time I was hungry.

Most importantly, the room was quiet. For someone presenting live remote training sessions, that’s huge. I didn’t have to worry about random loud noises interrupting me mid-sentence—and that alone made the stay worth it.

Fueling Up: Complimentary Breakfast

Like most Hampton Inns, this location offers a complimentary breakfast every morning—and yes, I fully took advantage.

Breakfast options included:

  • Hot items like scrambled eggs, roasted potatoes, bacon, and oatmeal
  • A make-your-own waffle station
  • Bagels, bread (toast), pastries, and cereal
  • Yogurt and other lighter options

For business travelers, remote workers, or families, having breakfast included is such a win. I didn’t have to think about where to eat first thing in the morning—I could grab a plate, eat, and then head back upstairs to get camera-ready for my training sessions. And knowing that coffee and tea were available in the lobby whenever I needed them was a bonus—especially when I needed that afternoon boost.

A Pleasant Surprise: Manager’s Reception

Now let’s talk about the part I wasn’t expecting: this Hampton Inn offers a Manager’s Reception on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings.

This isn’t something every Hampton Inn does, so it felt like a little extra treat.

On Tuesday night, the reception featured:

  • Lasagna with garlic bread
  • Salad
  • A cheese plate
  • Mixed nuts and other snack options
They also had several beverage choices, including:
  • Sodas
  • Beer and wine

I enjoyed a few glasses of red during my visit—a red blend and a Cabernet Sauvignon—which was the perfect way to unwind and transition from mode to being relaxed having made it through the day.

What really stood out, though, was the service. At one point, I left my plate at the table to grab something else, and when I came back, the lady hosting the reception had covered my plate so nothing would get in it. It was such a simple gesture, but it spoke volumes about the care and attention the staff put into the guest experience.

Staff & Service: Small Gestures, Big Impact

From the front desk to the dining area, the staff at this Hampton Inn were warm, attentive, and thoughtful.

  • Check-in was welcoming and efficient
  • The breakfast and reception team kept everything stocked, clean, and inviting
  • Little touches—like covering my plate when I stepped away—made me feel looked after, not just checked in

When you’re juggling work, travel, and holiday plans, that kind of service really matters. It felt less like a generic chain hotel and more like a place where people actually care that you’re comfortable during your stay.

Amenities I Didn’t Use (But You Might Love)

Although my main focus was work, this Hampton Inn also has several amenities that make it a solid choice for both business and leisure stays:

  • Outdoor pool
  • Fitness center
  • Laundry room

I didn’t get a chance to use these during my three-day stay (training mode was real!), but it’s great to know they’re available. If you’re staying longer, traveling with family, or juggling workouts while on the road, these are big pluses.

Final Thoughts: Would I Stay at Hampton Inn Atlanta/Fayetteville Again?

Absolutely.

My three-day stay at the Hampton Inn Atlanta/Fayetteville was:

  • Convenient
  • Quiet enough for professional remote training
  • Comfortable for resting and recharging
  • Full of thoughtful touches, from breakfast and coffee to the Manager’s Reception and kind staff

If you’re:

  • Working remotely and need a quiet base near Atlanta,
  • Flying in or out of Hartsfield-Jackson and want to stay south of the city, or
  • Working or visiting near Pinewood Studios
  • Visiting family for the holidays but still need a little “focus retreat” like I did
  • Or just looking for a clean, comfortable hotel in Fayetteville, GA with good value…

…I’d definitely recommend considering this Hampton Inn.

I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
