Watch | Official Trailer for Agatha Christie's Seven Dials Starring Mia McKenna-Bruce
January 11, 2026There are two kinds of people in this world:
- the ones who go to a country manor for a “fun weekend,” and
- the ones who immediately clock (pun intended) that the chandeliers are too pretty, the guests are too polished, and someone is absolutely about to end up dead.
Netflix’s official trailer for Agatha Christie’s Seven Dials just landed, and it’s giving us exactly what a mystery should: a glamorous setting, a playful prank that spirals into something way darker, and a heroine who looks like she’s not about to let anybody hush her into “letting the men handle it.”
The trailer teases a glossy, suspense-forward adaptation of Christie’s 1929 novel The Seven Dials Mystery—reimagined by Chris Chibnall (Broadchurch, Doctor Who) as a three-part limited series.
The Setup: A Prank at a Manor… Until It Isn’t
Netflix’s synopsis sets the tone perfectly:
When a playful prank at a country manor leads to murder, an unlikely sleuth, Lady Eileen “Bundle” Brent, must unravel a dangerous web of secrets in this captivating Agatha Christie adaptation.
I love when a story starts in that deceptively light place—people laughing, flirting, showing off, pretending their lives are scandal-free—because we all know the truth: the prettiest houses have the messiest secrets.
The trailer leans into that contrast. You get the sense that this manor is the kind of place where the silver is polished, the tea is poured, and everyone knows how to smile through a lie. And then… the mood shifts. The camera language gets sharper. The glances last a second too long. The warmth drains out of the room.
That’s my favorite kind of thriller energy: the moment the party realizes it’s not a party anymore.
Meet Bundle: The Unlikely Sleuth I’m Immediately Rooting For
At the center of all this is Lady Eileen “Bundle” Brent—and I already know she’s going to be the reason this series works.
Bundle gives “clever with receipts.” She’s not the type to sit politely while people speak around her. She’s curious, bold, and the kind of person who hears “stay out of it” and takes it as a personal invitation.
There’s something so satisfying about an “unlikely sleuth,” especially in a setting where power and status are weaponized. In manor-house mysteries, the rules are always unspoken—who gets believed, who gets dismissed, who gets protected. Bundle doesn’t seem interested in playing by those rules, and that makes her dangerous (to the killer) in the best way.
Also, can we talk about how much I love the name “Bundle”? It sounds cute… until you see her fierce determination and realize she’s probably about to take everyone down to solve the murder.
The cast: a stacked lineup for a twisty limited series
Netflix is putting real weight behind this ensemble.
Key players include:
- Mia McKenna-Bruce as Lady Eileen “Bundle” Brent
- Helena Bonham Carter as Bundle’s mother, Lady Caterham
- Martin Freeman as Battle (a Scotland Yard superintendent on the case)
- Edward Bluemel as Jimmy Thesiger
- Nabhaan Rizwan as Ronnie Devereux
- Corey Mylchreest as Gerry Wade
This trailer makes it clear that everyone has a role to play, and Bundle is going to have to pry the truth out of people who would rather protect the story they’ve built.
Mark your calendars:
Seven Dials premieres January 15, 2026 on Netflix. And based on this trailer? I’m already ready to put my detective hat on and start forming theories like it’s my part-time job.
Let’s Talk: Are You Watching Seven Dials?
I want to know: Are you a longtime Agatha Christie fan, or are you coming in fresh because the trailer sold you? And most importantly…
Let me know what you’re watching next. I’m always down for a good mystery (and a better theory).
