Billboard Music Awards

Who is Hosting the 2016 Billboard Music Awards?

Last year, the Billboard Music Awards were hosted by Chrissy Teigen and Ludacris. Teigen, who recently gave birth to baby girl Luna with husband John Legend, will not be performing hosting duties this year. However, Ludacris will return next month to host the Billboard Music Awards for the third consecutive time. He will be joined this year by singer Ciara who had this to say about joining her friend for the annual spectacular, “The Billboard Music Awards is one of best awards shows to honor chart success. My great friend Ludacris and I have also shared songs together on the Billboard chart. I look forward to sharing the stage with him on this special night. It will definitely be a night to remember!"

Who will be performing at the 2016 Billboard Music Awards?

Billboard announced Monday that they added DNCE, the Joe Jonas-led groovy pop band, and Shawn Mendes to the lineup of performers. The two acts join P!nk and The Go-Go’s who were previously announced as performers. I’m super excited about P!nk because she always puts on a spectacular show filled with artistry, emotion, and good music. She will be performing her new single from Alice Through the Looking Glass, “Just Like Fire.” The Go-Go’s who have been in the music game since the late 70’s will celebrate the 35th anniversary of their hit “We Got the Beat” and will announce their Farewell Tour during the ceremony.

The 2016 Billboard Music Awards is scheduled to air from the new T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, 22 May 2016 at 8 P.M. ET on ABC.

Taylor Swift was the big winner at last year’s awards extravaganza, taking home six awards. Will anyone top that number this year? Well, judging by the nominations, it seems that men (Justin Bieber or The Weeknd) are in a good position to take Taylor’s crown. Check out the full list of Billboard Music Awards finalists below.
