First Look: Disney 'Alice Through The Looking Glass' Trailer

Alice Through The Looking Glass Red Queen

The time is now! Disney has released the first trailer for Alice Through The Looking Glass, the follow-up to Disney's 2010 live-action film Alice in Wonderland, after releasing a series of teaser clips this week. The trailer shows Alice (Mia Wasikowska) going through the mirror and then a distraught Mad Hatter (Johnny Depp) standing amidst burning trees as we hear an eerie voice say that "Friends cannot be neglected," and urge Alice to "hurry."

The original cast of peculiar characters from Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland return in Alice Through The Looking Glass. Helena Bonham Carter as the Red Queen and Anne Hathaway as the White Queen, join Wasikowska as Alice and Depp as the Mad Hatter in Underland. The trailer introduces us to a new character, one that many of us fear, Time, played by Sacha Baron Cohen. Cohen's kooky character is some type of clock-human hybrid who possesses a mechanism that can control time.  Producer Suzanne Todd explained to Entertainment Weekly, "It basically powers time moving forward. 'Everyone wants [it], Alice needs it, but the Red Queen wants most of all."
