Labor Day weekend kicks off tomorrow in Atlanta. However, the countdown to the end of summer has already begun. Check out the top 8 things to do Labor Day weekend.



1. LUDADAY WEEKEND


Georgia native Chris "Ludacris" Bridges gives back through local fundraising.  Ludacris and his charitable foundation, The Ludacris Foundation, host various events throughout the city. The highlight of these events iis the Celebrity Charity Basketball game. If you are visiting Atlanta during Labor Day Weekend, watch celebrities dunk on each other at the Georgia State University sports arena. Chris Brown, Gabrielle Union, Dwayne Wade, and Angela Simmons are among several celebrities confirmed to attend this year.


2. DRAGON CON


Dragon Con boasts being the largest multi-media, popular culture convention focusing on science-fiction and fantasy, gaming, comics, literature, arts, music, and film in the universe. The convention was started in 1987 and has grown exponentially ever since, drawing more than 62,000 attendees. Dragon Con 2015 is the 29th annual Dragon Con Convention. If you're free on Saturday, you should catch one of Dragon Con's most famous attractions, COSTUMES at the annual Dragon Con Parade. The parade starts at 10 AM and marches down Peachtree Street. Take MARTA and make sure to arrive early. Hope to see you there!


3. ATLANTA BLACK GAY PRIDE




The community festival and celebration includes various events at the host hotel and throughout Atlanta. This year's festival features a health and wellness fair.



4. AJC DECATUR BOOK FESTIVAL


Commemorating its ninth year, the AJC Decatur Book Festival is the "largest independent book festival in the country and one of the five largest overall." The festival celebrating the written word started Labor Day Weekend 2006 with 100 authors and 50,000 people. If you're from or visiting Georgia this weekend, make a trip to Decatur. Novelist Erica Jong, Iron Chef Cat Cora, and other authors will be in attendance for lectures, book signings, and more.



5. SWEET GA PEACH MUSIC FESTIVAL


The Sweet Georgia Peach Music Festival is a three-day festival held at Clayton County International Park - Beach and Water Park. 6. CHICK-FIL-A COLLEGE FOOTBALL KICKOFF


The annual Chick-fil-A College Football Kickoff Game, referred to as "the Daytona 500 of College Football," takes place in Atlanta's Georgia Dome each September. The game, which opens the college football season, matches two top teams on neutral ground. This year the Auburn Tigers go up against the Louisville Cardinals.



7. GRACE ATLANTA CARIBBEAN JERK FESTIVAL


One of the largest caribbean food themed festivals in North America, the Caribbean Jerk Festival celebrates its tenth year.  The festival offers Caribbean cuisine, arts, live performances, and an authentic Caribbean style food and produce market. Indulge in jerk  and cheer on participants of the cook off.



8. HOUSE IN THE PARK



House in the Park is a celebration of House Music and its ability to unify people and transcend "every strata of society- ethnic identification, race classification, age, and lifestyle." The realization of the vision of DJ Ramon "Rawsoul" Guyton  and Kai Alce, House in the Park started in 2005 and celebrates 10 years this year.
