'The Wiz Live!' Preview Gives First Look at Emerald City's Finest

With just a few weeks until the premiere, NBC unveiled a first look at Emerald City's finest in The Wiz Live! preview. Entertainment Weekly shared exclusive new promo pictures for the upcoming 3-hour holiday special. The pictures give a first look at Uzo Aduba as Glinda the Good Witch, Common as Bouncer, the Emerald City Gatekeeper, and Queen Latifah as the Wiz(ard) of Oz.
Aduba looks magical in this golden gown. With more dramatic makeup, she could be mistaken for a citizen of the Capitol in The Hunger Games.

Common's glittery green costume makes him look like he has jewels growing out of his shoulders. I must say that the emerald green boots are sweet! I would totally rock those.

Queen Latifah looks absolutely splendid in head to toe green as the Wiz. Her look says I am all-powerful.

NBC also released a new preview clip for The Wiz Live! showing Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tin Man, and Cowardly Lion enjoying a brand new day in Oz. We also get a glimpse of Amber Riley as Addaperle and Stephanie Mills as Aunt Em. I can't wait to see images of Mary J. Blige as Evillene.

The Wiz Live! airs Thursday, December 3 at 8 p.m. on NBC.
