JACOB LATIMORE TO HEADLINE YARD STATUS MUSIC FESTIVAL #YSMF15

April 03, 2015

Yard Status Music Festival

Jacob Latimore is a rising star. The singer/actor/dancer has enjoyed collaborations with some of the top names in the music industry as well as starring alongside some of the biggest names in Hollywood. His single "Ah Yeah" featuring Rico Love is a must listen. And if you need something to do this weekend, watch his performances in Ride Along and The Maze Runner.

Now, the uber talented Latimore is joining the Yard Status Music Festival HBCU College Tour as a headliner. Latimore will be joined on select dates by co-headliner MPrynt, and special musical guests PJ, Markus Free, and Jino. The event will be hosted by Dada (Streetz 94.5) and singer QTJazz.

The Yard Status Music Festival is an HBCU (Historically Black Colleges and Universities) series that inspires students to "Know Your Status." The free concert is aimed at raising awareness about HIV/AIDS and providing reasons why and opportunities for students to get tested.

Did you know "there are 1.2 million people living with HIV infection, and almost 1 in 7 (14%) are unaware of their infection?" You cannot tell who is infected just by looking at the person. The only way to know you are not infected is to get tested. Be smart and get tested! (*steps down of of soapbox*)

Back to the music. The Atlanta leg of the tour is scheduled for April 22 at Morehouse College, so be sure to mark your calendar.

Don't live in ATL, check out the festival dates below to see when the tour will be coming to an HBCU near you.
