Queen Latifah is a cover girl once again. This time she is appearing on the cover of the April/May 2015 travel issue of UPTOWN magazine with the cover story "Queen Latifah's Next Move" written by Niki McGloster. Ari Michelson provided the photography for the magazine feature.
In the article, Queen Latifah discusses a little bit of everything: her canceled talk show, Bill Cosby, and HBO Film's highly anticipated Bessie. Bessie is a biopic that tells the story of the legendary blues singer Bessie Smith. One of the most successful recording artists of the 1920s, the film follows "her transformation from struggling young singer into The Empress of Blues".
